Cleared the NDA 2 2026 written exam? With the result declared on 9 October 2026, your next challenge is the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview. This 30-day NDA SSB preparation plan will help you prepare for OIR, PPDT, psychology tests, GTO tasks and the personal interview through a structured, week-by-week approach, even if you're preparing from home.

What Should You Do Immediately After the NDA 2 2026 Result?

If your roll number appears in the NDA 2 2026 result PDF, follow these three steps before beginning your SSB preparation:

  1. Complete registration: Register at joinindianarmy.nic.in within two weeks of the result announcement. Already registered? No need to register again.
  2. Check your email: Your allotted SSB centre and interview date will be communicated through your registered email address.
  3. Prepare your documents: Keep your original age and educational certificates ready for verification during the SSB interview.

How Much Time Do You Have Before Your SSB?

NDA 2 2026 SSB interviews are expected to run from November 2026; as per previous cycles, candidates typically get 1-2 months between clearing the written defence exam and their SSB interview.

Note: Your preparation time depends on your batch, and early slots can leave you barely a month.

30-Day NDA SSB Preparation Plan: Week-by-Week Timetable

The 30-day NDA SSB preparation plan divides your preparation into four phases, covering screening, psychology tests, GTO tasks and the personal interview.

Follow this timetable to practise systematically and improve your weaker areas before the SSB interview.

Days

Preparation Focus

What to Practise

Days 1–7

OIR & PPDT Screening

Practise verbal and non-verbal reasoning, picture-based story writing, narration and group discussions.

Days 8–14

Psychology Tests

Practice TAT, WAT, SRT and Self-Description Test (SDT) exercises under timed conditions.

Days 15–21

GTO Tasks & OLQs

Work on group discussions, lecturettes, teamwork, planning exercises, communication and physical fitness.

Days 22–30

Personal Interview & Revision

Prepare your PIQ form, practise personal interview questions, revise current affairs and attempt mock interviews.

Week 1 (Days 1-7): Know Yourself Before the Board Does

Most interview questions start from your PIQ form, so this week is about honest self-review.

  • Fill in a draft PIQ with real details: marks, sports, hobbies, responsibilities.
  • Ask a parent, a teacher and a friend how they see you. Note their words for your Self Description.
  • Solve two OIR sets daily, verbal and non-verbal, since Stage 1 screening opens with them.
  • Write one PPDT story a day from a hazy picture, within four minutes.

Week 2 (Days 8-14): Practise Psych Tests Without Memorising Answers

The psychologist reads your TAT, WAT, SRT and Self Description, looking for one consistent person. Speed matters, but honesty matters more.

Daily Practice Targets

  1. 4 TAT stories, four minutes each
  2. 60 WAT words, 15 seconds per word
  3. 30 SRT responses in 15 minutes
  4. One Self Description paragraph

“Candidates who memorise ‘positive’ stories write like someone else. Assessors spot it because the interview and group tasks show the real person.” - Saurabh Singh, Academic Director, Major Kalshi Classes

The MKC SSB Workbook has timed sets for all four tests.

Week 3 (Days 15-21): Prepare for GTO Tasks Without a Ground

The GTO judges how you work in a group, not how loudly you speak.

  • Hold a 15-minute GD on current affairs with three or four friends, online if needed.
  • Give one three-minute lecturette daily on a random topic.
  • Solve Progressive Group Task (PGT) and Command Task scenarios on paper, explaining your plan.
  • Run, do push-ups and practise rope climbing for individual obstacles.

Week 4 (Days 22-30): Interview Practice and Your Final SSB Checklist

Take at least two mock interviews built only from your PIQ, and one full mock SSB if you can. Read the news daily and revise the last six months of current affairs, especially defence and national events.

On Day 29, pack and tick off:

  • SSB call letter
  • Class 10 and 12 marksheets or certificates
  • Photo ID
  • Passport-size photographs
  • Formal clothes and sports kit

See what happens on each SSB day before you report.

What Should Your Daily NDA SSB Preparation Routine Look Like?

Follow this simple 2-hour daily SSB preparation routine to build consistency:

  • 30 minutes: Practice OIR reasoning or timed psychology exercises.
  • 30 minutes: Write PPDT stories, practise narration or rehearse interview questions.
  • 30 minutes: Read current affairs and practise speaking confidently on different topics.
  • 30 minutes: Review mistakes, assess your progress and revisit weaker areas.

Alongside this routine, maintain physical fitness through regular exercise. Adjust your study hours according to your preparation needs.

How Can You Check Your SSB Preparation Progress?

At the end of each week, assess your progress using this checklist:

  • OIR: Are you solving reasoning questions more accurately within the time limit?
  • PPDT: Can you write and narrate a clear, realistic story?
  • Communication: Can you express ideas confidently and listen during discussions?
  • Interview: Can you explain your experiences honestly without memorised answers?

Use your answers to improve next week’s preparation.

How Major Kalshi Classes Prepare NDA Candidates for SSB?

Self-study gets you far, but two gaps are hard to close alone: no group for GTO practice and no one to check whether your psych responses sound like you.

Major Kalshi Classes fills both through:

  • Faculty review of your TAT and SRT responses
  • Group GD and lecturette sessions
  • Mock interviews based on your own PIQ

Choose classroom or online training; MKC students have recorded 15,000+ selections.
