NDA 1 Eligibility criteria

The NDA 1 2026 eligibility criteria are as follows: 


Qualification

  1. Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent to be eligible for Army wing NDA from any recognised board. 

  2. For Airforce and Naval wing Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent to be eligible from any recognised board in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. 

  3. If the candidate is appearing for a qualifying exam they are eligible. 


Age Limit

  1. Gender: Applicant should be either Male & Female. 

  2. Marital Status: Unmarried

  3. Age limit: Candidates who are born between July 2nd 2007 to July 1st 2010. 


Nationality

  1. Indian national & Nepal students are applicable 

  2. Those who have Indian origin ( Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Vietnam, Zambia, Uganda, Malawi , Zaire and Ethiopia, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania ) who are willing to transfer to India permanently. 


Physical standard 

  1. Candidates must be physically and mentally fit for the exam.

  2. After clearing the written exam, candidates must pass the medical exam.

NDA 1 Syllabus & Exam Pattern 2026 

Along with the exam notification UPSC releases its syllabus and exam pattern too. Lets’ understand it exam pattern and syllabus :


NDA Exam pattern 2026

  • Exams will be conducted in pen & paper mode. 

  • There will be two sections: General Knowledge & Mathematics. 

  • Exam will be conducted for 2 and half hours. 

  • The questions will be objective. 

  • The language for the Mathematics exam will be English and for General Knowledge it will be in Hindi/ English both. 

  • The Negative marking will be 0.33% for each wrong answer. 


NDA 1 2026 Syllabus 


Along with the application form UPSC will release the NDA 1 2026 syllabus also. There are some important topics for both subjects: 


Mathematics: 

Trigonometry, Differential Calculus, Matrices and Determinants, Algebra, Analytical Geometry of two and three dimensions, Vector Algebra, Integral Calculus and Differential equations, Statistics, Probability etc.


General Knowledge: 

History, Geography, General Knowledge, Physics, Chemistry, General Science, current events etc.
