4. Application Process

5. Selection Procedure

The selection process comprises the following stages:

  • Shortlisting: Based on normalized marks in the qualifying degree.
  • SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview, which includes psychological tests, group tasks, and personal interviews.
  • Medical Examination: Candidates who clear the SSB interview will undergo a medical examination to assess their fitness for service.

6. Training and Tenure

Selected candidates will undergo training at INA, Ezhimala, Kerala, commencing in January 2026. The tenure for SSC Officers is typically 10 years, extendable by 4 years in two terms of 2 years each, based on service requirements and performance.

7. Pay and Allowances

Upon commissioning, officers will receive a starting salary of approximately ₹1,10,000 per month, along with various allowances as per prevailing government norms.
