What is the IAF Agniveer Vayu Non-Combatant Recruitment?

The IAF Agniveer Vayu Non-Combatant Recruitment offers entry-level recruitments for integral assistive roles that will be available across the multi-faceted stations of the Indian Air Force.

The candidates who are successful in this initiative will be responsible for Hospitality and Housekeeping, looking after the day to day activities of the Air Force units. Although they will be in Non-combatant positions, these roles will support the Indian Air Force in optimum Operational readiness and will uphold the stringent quality of services which is the trademark of the Indian Air Force.

Agniveer Vayu Non-Combatant Selection Process

The selection process consists of several stages designed to assess candidates' academic ability, physical fitness, and overall suitability.


Stage 1: Written Examination

Eligible candidates will take a written examination as per the prescribed syllabus.


Stage 2: Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

Candidates who qualify the written examination will undergo the Physical Fitness Test.


PFT consists of:

  • Sit-ups
  • Squats


Stage 3: Stream Suitability Test (SST)

Candidates who clear the Physical Fitness Test will take the Stream Suitability Test which assesses their suitability to the trade allotted to them.


Stage 4: Document Verification

Original educational and identity documents will be verified before the medical examination.


Stage 5: Medical Examination

The last stage is a detailed Medical Examination conducted as per the Indian Air Force standards.

Selected candidates will receive the salary and benefits prescribed under the Agnipath Scheme.
