Operation Sindoor: A response to Pakistan’s Pahalgam Attack
The military attack of Pakistan on Pahalgam April 22, 2025 resulted in the loss of 26 lives in response to which India launched Operation sindoor.
The Indian government targeted Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu Kashmir (PoJK) through this operation.
This operation is not only a successful operation but also the most commendable and notable military response in recent years.
With other defence services, the Indian Air force has neutralised the defence system of Pakistan’s sensitive areas.
The military response has increased the tension on the border of India-Pakistan which caused the death of 16 civilians so far, including children and women.
In this war some diplomatic measures were adopted by the Indian military. These measures include creating pressure on Islamabad, suspension of Indus waters Treaty, and expulsion of Pakistan’s military attaches. The response of the victim’s families of Pahalgham to Operation Sindoor is in favour of the Indian Government. They believe that this operation helped them to restore the dignity of the lost lives of their loved ones. Further cyber security and the Indian Defense system is continuously working to strengthen India from the cyber intuitions of Pakistan. These steps are taken to strengthen and counter each and every move of Pakistan. Operation Sindoor is also compared with the 2019 Balakot air strikes, which was another commendable military response against terror attack. Even United States attention is currently drawn towards this tension created between India and Pakistan. According to sources of Islamabad and Indian precision, Pakistan suffered several losses and an estimate of nine terror infrastructure sites were destroyed. Even some unverified drones identified by Pakistan’s Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) that are supposed to be of India. Aftermath of the strike is that Pakistan has started launching misinformation that aims to divert the attention and distort the public perception. Many social media accounts have circulated fabricated images, old images and irrelevant information.
