CDS 1 2026 Exam will take place on 12th April. It will be conducted in three shifts. Shift 1 will be from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Shift 2 will be from 12:30 PM to 02:30 PM, and Shift 3 will be from 04:00 PM to 06:00 PM.

Important Documents to Carry for CDS 1 2026 Exam

  • Printed CDS 1 2026 Admit Card
  • Valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar card, PAN card, passport, etc)
  • 2-3 passport-size photographs (same as uploaded in the application form)

Things You Must Pack the Night Before CDS 1 2026 Exam

Avoid rushing on the exam day by packing everything the night before. This minimises the stress and ensures you don’t miss anything crucial.

  • Good Quality Black Ball Point Pen (carry extras)
  • Clipboard or hard board (on which nothing is written) (if allowed)
  • Normal or simple wrist watches are allowed.


Dress Code Guidelines for CDS 1 Exam Day

No official dress code has been set by the authorities. It’s recommended to wear attire that is appropriate. This helps you avoid restrictions when entering the exam hall.

  • Wear light and comfortable clothes
  • Avoid wearing accessories like jewellery.
  • Do not use watches fitted with any special accessory.


Reporting Time and Exam Centre Rules for CDS 1 2026 Exam

Reaching the CDS exam centre on time is important. No candidates will be allowed entry into the exam venue after the closure of entry.

  • Check your CDS admit card for the actual reporting time
  • Arrive at least 30-45 minutes early
  • Follow all instructions mentioned in the admit card.
  • List of prohibited items includes baggage, luggage, valuables/costly items, mobile phones, smart/digital watches, other IT gadgets, books, etc.
  • It must be noted that the Sessions will begin from 09:00 AM to 11:00 AM (English Paper), 12:30 PM to 02:30 PM (General Knowledge Paper) and 04:00 PM to 06:00 PM (Elementary Mathematics Paper). 
  • The entry into the exam venue shall be closed 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the exam in each Session.
